ZKTeco clock not connecting via ADMS: how to check and fix it

If your ZKTeco clock is not uploading punches to the cloud, check in two minutes whether ADMS is enabled, verify network DNS settings and test your serial number live with EzGYM.

For a ZKTeco clock to send punches over the internet on its own without a PC running on site, it needs the ADMS feature (also called Cloud Server Setting or PUSH Server). You can find it under Menu › Comm. (or Network) › Cloud Server Setting (ADMS).

If that menu is present but punches do not reach the server, the issue is almost always network configuration: check Menu › Comm. › Ethernet or WiFi and make sure DHCP is on (or that Gateway and DNS Server are valid, such as 8.8.8.8). Then in Cloud Server Setting turn on "Enable Domain Name", enter acceso.ezgym.net, set port 443 and enable HTTPS.

On the main time clock page of EzGYM you can use the free live ADMS connection tester: enter your clock's serial number and see right away if it is reaching our servers.

How to set it up

  1. 1 Create your free EzGYM account.
  2. 2 Under Attendance › Clocks, connect your ZKTeco clock with ADMS to the server acceso.ezgym.net.
  3. 3 Add your employees with their number and schedule.
  4. 4 See the day and the month, and download the Excel for payroll.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if my ZKTeco clock has ADMS?

Open Menu › Comm. (or Network). If you see "Cloud Server Setting", "ADMS" or "Cloud Service", your clock includes it.

What if it only lets me type numbers (an IP address) instead of acceso.ezgym.net?

Turn on "Enable Domain Name" inside the Cloud Server Setting menu first so the clock lets you type letters.

Do I need to open ports on my router?

No. With ADMS the clock initiates an outbound connection to acceso.ezgym.net on port 443 (just like loading a website), so no port forwarding or static IP is needed.
