Free OCPP 1.6J server for the Besen BS20 charger
Point your Besen BS20 (7.4 / 11 / 22 kW) to our OCPP 1.6J server to control who charges, measure kWh per session, and start or stop charging from your phone. Free with EzGYM.
The Besen BS20 (7.4 / 11 / 22 kW) includes network connectivity with the standard OCPP 1.6J protocol (JSON over WebSockets). Using OCPP, the charger talks to a central server to validate RFID cards, report live kW power and log the kWh of every session. EzGYM is that central server, for free.
If you run a gym, sports club or customer parking lot, you can require RFID authorization so the Besen BS20 stays locked to strangers: when a member taps their card, EzGYM checks if their membership is up to date and starts charging while they work out.
If you operate a distribution company or delivery fleet with electric vans, you can link the Besen BS20 to your vehicles to track exactly how many kWh each driver charged at the depot and the cost of every session.
From the web dashboard or your phone you can also trigger RemoteStart / RemoteStop and unlock the connector with a single tap, without paying monthly per-plug fees.
How to set it up
- 1 Create your free EzGYM account and go to EV Chargers.
- 2 Add your Besen BS20 with its rated power (7.4 / 11 / 22 kW) and choose whether to require RFID or set a kWh tariff.
- 3 Copy the unique OCPP URL given by the app (wss://ocpp.ezgym.net/ev…).
- 4 If the charger asks separately for the “Charge Point Identity”, “ChargeBox ID” or “Identity”, enter the ev… identifier there (the end of the URL) and leave just wss://ocpp.ezgym.net/ in the URL.
- 5 Open OCPP Setup Tool (Bluetooth) › Charger ID + Server URL on the Besen BS20, paste the OCPP URL and reboot the charger: within seconds it shows Available in EzGYM.
The BS20 ships in “Offline” mode: OCPP is not set in the EVSE Master app but in the manufacturer's OCPP setup app, over Bluetooth (ask your seller if you don't have it). First connect it to the internet; then enter wss://ocpp.ezgym.net/ in “Server URL” and the ev… identifier in “Charger ID”. With OCPP on, EVSE Master no longer controls it: you manage it from EzGYM.
Frequently asked questions
How do I connect the Besen BS20 to EzGYM?
Add the charger under EV Chargers in EzGYM and copy the unique OCPP URL shown in the app (wss://ocpp.ezgym.net/ev…). Then paste it into OCPP Setup Tool (Bluetooth) › Charger ID + Server URL on the charger.
Does the Besen BS20 use wss:// or ws://?
Use the URL that starts with wss:// (port 443, encrypted): it is the one the app gives you. If your Besen BS20 firmware only accepts plain ws://, write to us with the brand and model.
Can I lock the Besen BS20 so only authorized members or drivers can charge?
Yes. Enable “Require RFID card” on the charger settings in EzGYM and the Besen BS20 will verify every card in real time before delivering power.
How much does the OCPP server cost in EzGYM?
Nothing. The OCPP 1.6J server, RFID card validation, remote commands and kWh session history are free in EzGYM (up to 20 chargers per account).
