Free MQTT broker for your Tasmota + DS18B20
Point your Tasmota + DS18B20 at our Mosquitto broker and monitor cold rooms, fridges and freezers from your phone, with email alerts. Free with EzGYM.
The Tasmota + DS18B20 measures temperature and publishes it over MQTT. For that it needs a server (broker): EzGYM gives you one for free, with a username and password per sensor, so you don't have to run a Raspberry Pi or pay for a cloud.
Each reading reaches EzGYM, is kept for 90 days and shows on a chart from 6 hours to 30 days. You set the allowed range (for example -25 to -18 °C for frozen goods) and how many minutes it must stay out before alerting, so opening the door does not trigger an alert.
If the sensor stops sending, because of a power or WiFi outage at night, we let you know too: exactly what you need to avoid losing stock.
How to set it up
- 1 Create your free EzGYM account, go to Sensors and add a sensor with its range.
- 2 Note the server, username, password and topic the app gives you.
- 3 In Tasmota, set the DS18B20 probe pin as DS18x20 (Configuration › Configure Module).
- 4 Paste the line below, with your details, into the Tasmota console.
- 5 Within a few minutes you see the temperature in EzGYM.
